Travel and hospitality management
Travel and hospitality management is an exciting profession that provides almost unlimited opportunities for employment. Andover College travel and hospitality management program's mission is to provide students with the technical skills, knowledge, and work habits that are necessary for entering the hospitality and travel industry. Various types of travel and travel-related topics are examined, such as cruise, airline, rail, motor coach, accommodation, meetings, and food and beverages. An important part of success in the travel and hospitality industry is to have the capacity to work with a team, and to understand coworkers and customer requirements. Associate of Applied Science
An Associate of Applied Science will prepare you for positions with airlines and cruise lines, travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions. You will be instructed in basics like food and beverage management, planning for group tours, taking reservations, and customer service. A three-to-five day trip to a popular tourist destination is also included.
Certificate program
The Travel and Hospitality Management certificate program at Andover College is a stand-alone program, but it can also be the first step toward a more advanced degree in the field (like the AS above). The Travel and Hospitality Management Certificate program will offer a student the fundamental skills and understanding to work in the travel and hospitality management area. Eleven of the courses students take address travel and hospitality management specifically, and the others are key to business success.
