Move Over Flour!

I love my wheat, white, pastry, and bread flours, but other “flours” have always fascinated me too. In fact, my first job was working at a baking store and sometimes I’d mill mung beans or rice for customers for them to bake into bread, futilely trying to imagine what mung bean bread would taste like. (Does anyone know?) Anyhoo, here are some other flours, some common and some not so common, with which to mix up your pantry:

  • Corn flour
  • Soy flour
  • Spelt flour
  • Tapioca flour
  • Kamut flour
